The United States. The name elicits many responses. For some it is a symbol of hope and freedom. For others an oppressor. It is home to over 300 million people. A country of vast natural resources, a proud history and an uncertain future.

People of all political persuasions feel that as a nation we have some problems. Issues. Things we can do better. While we may not always agree what they or how to address them, we can all agree that we can't stand still.

Most of us don't have a direct line to Congress or the White House, but we can have a voice. In our votes we can have a say in the direction of our country, but sometimes we want to do more. We want to actually make our case. This is such a place. A place where we can gather to learn about and discuss topics that directly impact our lives.

Health Care Issues

Should Health Insurance Cross State Lines?

Without question, YES health insurance should cross state lines.

Why should this industry be exempt from competition? Competitors from other states would help drive costs down and that forces companies to find more efficient ways to do business.

Taxes Issues

Can the Fair Tax Act Create an Economic Boom?

Fairtax rewards people for being much more fairly than the current system - and it catches  those who currently don't pay taxes. So when your drug-dealers and prostitutes and politicians want to buy a new car they new pay into my social security etc.

Fair tax also rewards people for being thrifty - you only pay tax on NEW goods purchases, not on used items - thing only get taxed once.

And everyone in the world would invest here in America - no offshore banking needed. Since there's no tax on your bank accounts as earnings, you get to keep what you make... everyone will want to put their money in an American bank.  You only pay tax when you purchase a service or spend on something new.  All that money flying into the States would be a huge shot in the arm for the USA.

Imagine getting to keep ALL your own money.  Fairtax is the greatest financial idea since the constitution.
